The standard business mileage rate for 2008 through June is 50.5 cents per mile. July onward, this rate will increase to 58.5 cents per mile.

Looking for your Federal refund? Go to the IRS website (click here) and enter your social security number to find out the status of your refund or tax rebate.

Looking for your state refund? Click here to find out when you will receive it.

The state of Minnesota is requiring tax preparers, who process more than 100 returns in a year, to e-file all individual state returns. Tax preparers will be charged a $5.00 fee for paper returns sent in for processing to the state of Minnesota.  Unfortunately, we will be passing this fee on to our clients who are able to e-file but choose to paper file their returns.

E-filing has many benefits!  The most important is that your returns are processed faster through the IRS or at the state of Minnesota, which means you get your refund back faster.  However, if you are one of the unfortunate ones who need to make a payment to the government - "Don't worry."  You can still mail your payment by April 15th to the state or federal government, even though your tax return has been e-filed.  The amount you owe does not need to be deducted from your checking or savings account.

However, the State of Minnesota does not allow Minnesota Property Tax Refund Returns to be e-filed, so all property tax returns will be paper processed as usual.
